The Crochet Snowman Amigurumi Pattern brings winter joy to your collection. Made with basic stitches, it creates a distinct 3D shape with a round head, plump body, and little limbs, all made with love and care. Finished with a tiny hat and scarf, this adorable snowman with defined features has a unique pattern that's easy to follow.

Step By Step Guide

Materials:

  • White yarn
  • Orange yarn
  • Black yarn
  • Green yarn
  • 3.5mm crochet hook
  • 9mm safety eyes
  • Polyester stuffing
  • Tapestry needle

Crochet Snowman Amigurumi

Body:

  1. Using white yarn, make a magic ring and crochet 6 sc into the ring.
  2. Increase in each stitch around (12 sc).
  3. Continue crocheting rounds of SC, increasing in every other stitch until you have 48 stitches.
  4. Crochet 10 rounds of SC without increasing.
  5. Stuff the body firmly with polyester stuffing.
  6. Crochet 6 more rounds of sc without increasing.
  7. Close the hole in the body by pulling the working yarn tight and weaving in the ends.

Head:

  1. Attach white yarn to the top of the body and crochet 6 sc.
  2. Increase in each stitch around (12 sc).
  3. Crochet 7 rounds of SC without increasing.
  4. Stuff the head firmly with polyester stuffing.
  5. Crochet 5 more rounds of SC without increasing.
  6. Close the hole in the head by pulling the working yarn tight and weaving in the ends.

Nose:

  1. Using orange yarn, embroider a small carrot-shaped nose on the face.

Eyes:

  1. Sew on the black safety eyes above the nose.

Mouth:

  1. Using black yarn, embroider a small smile below the nose.

Arms (make 2):

  1. Attach white yarn to the side of the body and chain 12.
  2. Turn your work and sc in each st back down the ch.
  3. Sc in the next 3 sts of the starting round, then Dec.
  4. Rep the last 2 sts 5 more times to finish shaping the arm.
  5. Weave in the ends.
  6. Repeat steps 1-5 to make the second arm.

Scarf:

  1. Using green yarn, chain 30.
  2. Turn your work and sc in each st back down the ch.
  3. Weave in the ends.
  4. Wrap the scarf around the snowman's neck and tie it in a knot.

Hat:

  1. Using black yarn, make a magic ring and crochet 6 sc into the ring.
  2. Increase in each stitch around (12 sc).
  3. Crochet 4 rounds of SC without increasing.
  4. Dec in each stitch around (6 sc).
  5. Close the hole in the hat by pulling the working yarn tight and weaving in the ends.
  6. Add a small pom-pom to the top of the hat if desired.

Assembly:

  1. Sew the arms to the sides of the body.

Finishing touches:

You can add buttons to the snowman's belly with black yarn.
