  • 2.5mm crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Fiberfill stuffing
  • Stitch marker
  • Scissors

Abbreviations

  • Rnd: Round or tour
  • MR: Magic ring or cercle magique - This method starts crocheting in the round without creating a hole in the centre.
  • Ch: Chain - A series of single crochet stitches worked in a row to create a foundation or starting point.
  • Sl st: Slip stitch - A stitch that tightly joins two stitches together.
  • Sc: Single crochet - A basic stitch that creates a dense, compact fabric.
  • DC: Double crochet - A taller stitch than a single crochet creates a looser fabric.
  • Inc: Increase - A technique to add stitches to your work, usually to increase the size of your piece.
  • Dec: Decrease - A technique to decrease stitches, often used to shape or close your piece.
  • ()*: Repeat till the end of the round - This means repeating the instructions in parentheses until you reach the end.
  • []: Total number of stitches in the round - This tells you how many stitches you should have at the end of the round to ensure you're on track.
