Step By Step Guide

Materials:

  • Brown, light brown, beige, pink, gray, and coral pink yarn
  • Crochet hook size D (3.25 mm)
  • Safety eyes (9 mm)
  • Fiberfill stuffing
  • Yarn needle

Crochet Brownie Bear Amigurumi

Instructions:

Body:

  1. With brown yarn, ch 6 and join with a slip stitch to form a ring. Ch 2, work 12 sc in the ring. Tighten the ring carefully.
  2. Work in sc in a spiral, increasing 6 sc evenly around each round until you have 54 sc.
  3. Work 7 rounds without increasing.
  4. Stuff firmly.
  5. Work in sc, decreasing evenly around until you have 12 sc.
  6. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Head:

  1. With brown yarn, ch 6 and join with a slip stitch to form a ring. Ch 2, work 10 sc in the ring. Tighten the ring carefully.
  2. Work in sc in a spiral, increasing 6 sc evenly around each round until you have 42 sc.
  3. Work 7 rounds without increasing.
  4. Stuff firmly.
  5. Work in sc, decreasing 6 sc evenly around each round until you have 6 sc.
  6. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Ears (make 2):

  1. With light brown yarn, ch 7. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across (6 sc).
  2. Turn, inc in each sc across (12 sc).
  3. Ch 2, turn. DC in each sc across (12 dc).
  4. Work in DC in a spiral for 3 rounds.
  5. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Arms (make 2):

  1. With brown yarn, ch 8. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across (7 sc).
  2. Turn, inc in each sc across (14 sc).
  3. Ch 2, turn. Dc in each sc across (14 dc).
  4. Work in DC in a spiral for 14 rounds.
  5. Stuff lightly.
  6. Change to light brown yarn and work in DC in a spiral for 4 rounds.
  7. Change to pink yarn and work in dc in a spiral for 4 rounds.
  8. Sc in each DC around. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Legs (make 2):

  1. With gray yarn, ch 8. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across (7 sc).
  2. Turn, inc in each sc across (14 sc).
  3. Ch 2, turn. Dc in each sc across (14 dc).
  4. Work in DC in a spiral for 10 rounds.
  5. Stuff lightly.
  6. Change to coral pink yarn and work in DC in a spiral for 4 rounds.
  7. Change to light pink yarn and work in DC in a spiral for 4 rounds.
  8. Sc in each DC around. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Muzzle:

  1. With beige yarn, ch 10. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across (9 sc).
  2. Turn, work 8 sc. Turn and work 7 sc. Turn and work 6 sc. Turn and work 5 sc. Turn and work 4 sc. Turn and work 3 sc. Turn and work 2 sc. Turn and work 1 sc. Fasten off and weave in ends.
  3. Embroider has a nose with brown yarn.

Assembly:

  1. Sew the head to the body.
  2. Sew the ears to the top of the head.
  3. Sew the arms to the sides of the body.
  4. Sew the legs to the bottom of the body.
  5. Sew on the safety eyes.
  6. Sew the muzzle to the face.
