Step By Step Guide

Materials:

  • Black yarn (worsted weight)
  • Gray yarn (worsted weight)
  • White yarn (worsted weight)
  • Red yarn (worsted weight)

Crochet Darth Vader Amigurumi

Instructions:

Head:

Helmet:

  5. Work 2 rounds of single crochets.
  6. In the next round, make the pointed part of the helmet by working 4 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc, 1 hdc, and 20 sc.

  8. Repeat rows 8 and 9 two more times to create the neck of the helmet.
  9. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Body:

  3. Increase to 12 single crochets.
  4. Continue increasing in each round until you have 48 single crochets.
  5. Work 8 rounds of single crochets.
  6. Stuff the body firmly.
  7. Work 2 rounds of single crochets, decreasing evenly in the second round to close the body.

Cape:

  1. Start with the black yarn and make a chain of 40 stitches.
  2. Turn the work and double-crochet in each stitch.
  3. Repeat row 2 until the cape reaches the desired length.
